This class builds on the foundations from Electricity I, exploring the dynamic world of alternating current, electromagnetic fields, and how these principles power modern technology. Each class period will be split between lecture time and hands-on exploration, including building working devices like an electric motor, shake flashlight, and crystal radio. Students will discover how transformers change voltage, how capacitors and inductors shape electrical signals, and how radio waves carry information through the air. At the end of the class students will have completed three projects they can keep and show at the end of term extravaganza.
